Isaih 30:15

This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says:
"In repentance and rest is your salvation,
in quietness and trust is your strength,
but you would have none of it. Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show you compassion."
...For the Lord is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for him!
Isaiah 30:15
Waiting, who likes to wait for anything? Not me, but I am learning. I am learning more just what "quietness" and "trust" look like.
I was very "quiet" about my situation with David. God knew my heart to remain "quiet" and I put my "trust" in a God who is bigger than the comforts of friends.  And I still ask myself how I did not falter, but realize God did give me the strength that goes way beyond spinach and Popeye.
I feel more blessed by my relationship with David than I could have ever planned.  God showed me what "quietness" meant. It was not easy and the comforts/blessings in the past eight years are beyond measuring because how do you measure the constant blessings that God pours out.
This is a brief passage yet so powerful in Word.  What does "quiet" look like for you?  How are you trusting in God during that season of "quiet"? Do you see in yourself "strength" that does not make sense?
Thanks Lord Jesus for the blessings of your promises.  Today I want you to show me more when I am to be quiet, and I do trust in you. Amen
Blessings Dear Friends, Elizabeth
