Mr. Eddy Potato

It is often the experiences that are profound in my life that bring me to sit and blog. Like wow, like now, like how and that is how it is. David and I just returned from shopping with the boys from Petco. We walked around looking at all the cute puppy toys. We told the boys that they could each choose a toy for a puppy for someday when we would get one. They have no idea.

I call a text a few days ago from Emily saying to look at my FB page. She and her boyfriend had posted a video about our "newest" family member to be. Daniel's mom is a dog breeder and decided that the three Traub boys needed a puppy. Daniel and Emily did a cute little video selling the idea of puppy coming home. How could we say no to a cute docile fluffy face? How could we say no to free. I am no stranger to free and always see free as a true blessing from God. This dog is already a peacemaker.

My husband and I have gone back and forth on a dog for years. I love labs. Have had three in my lifetime and am sold out for labs. David prefers to not have a dog. So any talk of a dog, always, in his mind, meant a larger lab-size dog which resulted in a firm NO! So in seeing this video which portrayed this little fellow we were both sold. We have not told our boys. Daniel and Emily will return with this surprise dog. I kind of finagled God's blessings in this. I had the boys pray that someday soon God would bless them with a puppy. Each boy prayed, each boy gave God a good reason why they should have a puppy, and each boy even understood if it would be a while. It is such a joy to be part of my family. We have so much fun and this is just one way.

Thanks Barb for your part in delivering God's blessing to the Traub house. I am including her website so you can see these little puppies. Truly we are very excited and it's not enough that I chat about my family now we are adding Mr. Eddy Potato which is his name. Many pictures will follow. I promise.

We are going to have him "puppy cut" so his hair already is shorter. And Mr. Eddy Potato is a patchwork in color.
