Let me just start that I am feeling a little spoiled being in quarantine with this view outside the window of Gordon's home in Palm Desert. I struggled with the decision to come. This trip was planned weeks ago. But then the title of this post is, "We Need Each Other" and even in our relationships and the Coronavirus we need to do what we can to be safe and nurture those important relationships.
It is a basic human need to be in community. We Need Each Other!! A few weeks ago, before all the Coronavirus news, there was an alarming day for me. There were events that happened that brought me back to a time in my past that was difficult and hard. I am pretty springy. I have a moment of sadness, embrace it and then bounce back to being that happy girl. On this particular day the weight of sadness, fear and anxiety overwhelmed me. The people that love me came around and cared for me in the best ways that I needed. I was pretty blessed to have these people on this day because I needed my people.
I also received four phone calls that day. Calls from my sister, my daughter, and two friends. Calls to just chit chat and ask how I am doing. There were many moments on this day that I just could not help thinking how much we need our people. How we need to go back to talking to each other, hearing our voices, and having that important face to face time or ear to ear time.
Now fast forward to today. A nation under orders to be in quarantine status. It is my turn. My turn to listen. My turn to ask questions, "How are you? What do you need?" My turn to look at my phone list and check in with my people.
In talking to my daughter after the Nashville Tornado. Her experience of hearing the Tornado alarms and realizing there was little time. She had a neighbor call her telling her to run fast to their house and get in their basement. Scary and frightening and still recovering from those events. Friends sent home from their jobs and kids home from school. Then another friend struggling in a relationship. Making calls and checking in because we need each other.
As we all settle into these next few weeks, we can use our technology options to stay connected. To write, to outward process to share the incidentals of the day. We Need Each Other. We are a resourceful bunch and what we have to give may not be in dollars, but we can give our words of encouragement, we can listen to the struggles another is facing and yes, if you have extra give a few rolls of toilet paper. We can each do our part because at the end of each day, We Need Each Other.
Hello I am a happy wife with eight children. His and mine. Six boys and two girls. A daughter-in-love and three grandkids. Embracing the beautiful life I have been blessed with and sharing my journey, adventrues, witty wisdom and love.

Designing Industrious Women
Designing Industrious Women
17 She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for
her tasks.
18 She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does
not go out at night."
Hello Industrious Women,
As many of you know, I have spent the past 15 years working as a consultant with business start ups, existing business's, and those who have their dreams and passions scribbled on a napkin through the steps of getting started. Strategics, goal planning, marketing, and training, product design and development, etc.(as well as my passion for kids room interior design.) God has given me so much favor and blessing in being able to help companies move forward in their dreams and passions.
Last fall, I started working, and educating myself in this culture of business through technology, social media, and research, and following what successful companies are doing. Then God spoke to my heart on the level of coming alongside gifted young women, like yourselves who desire to live in the gifts that God has designed in you, that drive your passions to be doing. Asking myself, how can I help these young business women. They don't have the funding that my clients have. They will not be meeting me in some fancy New York City restaurant and wining and dining me for my services. Yet, like me, when I was 24 years old, you have desire and passions in your creative and industrious ways to start a business and manage your business well. Your passions are those gifts, and my passion is to help develop and grow you in those gifts.
Out of some prayer, and long sunny walks in the country it was pressed on my heart to bring along women who struggle with the business aspect of business and give them the help and start needed. What we do in real time is parallel to what we do with business on-line. Learning to effectively use Social Media as a tool that grows your friendships, your customers, you business and your passions to live responsibly in the gifts God has given you is one of the keys to successful business.
Here is a reality. As a small business, unless you have a very large budget you may never make the top 500 pages of google search and search engines. Ouch. Yet all the training, and all the hype, and the dollars spent to drive people to your business negates that face to face contact we thrive on. Engaging in people is the key to building your business in both face to face and on-line. How do you do that? How do you do that effectively? How does anyone have the time to begin to spend the hours to make that work? Who has the time to make this work? Who has the budget to hire someone, who can spend the hours to make it work?
I have had the opportunity to work directly with very gifted people in this industry. God sending people my way, who have taken the time to teach and educate me. Now, in obedience to what God has placed on my heart I am starting a monthly mentoring meeting. Where we can all meet, teach and collaborate. I will bring a specific topic to each meeting that will benefit each of you. I like to plan a head and prepare. Marking a time on the calendar that you can covet and reserve. We will be meeting in my home, in Portland, OR the 2nd Saturday of each month.

At 7:00pm Sharp!
The value of us meeting together is our experiences and insights that we share. Being present is super important. In addition, if you would like to set up one on one coaching/mentoring (which some I am currently meeting regularly with, email me privately and we can also set up a time.)
If you know of anyone else who is serious about their business and frustrated with not understanding or knowing how to generate the start, the work once started, and the process please forward this information.
Please bring your laptops to this meeting, and every meeting, also a notebook/journal for note taking. There is no cost for this time. However, I have prepared a binder, with specific tabs for organizing information I will be providing, for your business and these meetings. If you would like to order one. The cost is $15.00 When you R.S.V.P please let me know and you can bring $15.00 to the first meeting and I will have a binder prepared for you.
If you would like to attend, please direct message me your R.S.V.P and then your email address. I will then email you back with a document that needs to be filled out before the first meeting. I am so excited to see the interest and I am enthusiastic to be helping each of you along. This is going to be work.
Psalms 31:16-18
"16 She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. 17 She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. 18 She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night."
God has designed us to be creative and industrious. I would love to come alongside, as a wife, mother and successful business woman taking your passions and dreams and using my experiences to help you along.
Blessings, Elizabeth
